First Tooth

We had a loss yesterday.  But in a good way.  And what a surprise!  Isaac was playing with his legos and was trying to get two apart and out popped one of his bottom teeth.  Isaac didn't quite know what to expect, and I don't think it was totally ready to come out since we didn't even know it was loose, so there were a few surprised tears.  Once I convinced him it was something that happens when you are getting so big, it was great.  Isaac kept saying that his guts were showing now.  Then I realized he was talking about his gums :)  He was quite happy about things... very excited for the tooth fairy.  I bet, *wink*wink*, that tooth fairy had to literally pull his bag with his tooth in it out of his hands.  A very tricky, but successful, operation.

Hurray! Welcome to the toothless club! Funny how a cute boy like that can look even cuter with no teeth. =)

a couple of things
1- they make lego pull-apart/wedge devices. maybe this would be helpful.

2- how funny that you didn't even know it was loose! sad that he was so surprised. i'm glad he was into it after your explanation.

3- i got your email and just remembered it now as i clicked comment. i will get back to you. wish i could come visit portland with you...

When Isaac said that you could see his guts, it reminded me of a cute book, "More Parts". Losing your first tooth is a big deal! Congrats to Isaac!
