Finding a House ...
...Is fun to do. (Fun to do, fun to do. Sing it with me all you primary teachers) It's been a little bit since we posted about our prospects of finding a home. We have been really trying to look at anything that might possibly work for us. We've seen lots of really nice houses - read "expensive." We've also seen ones that we could definitely afford, but didn't like. To date we have made 6 offers. 3 of those are a definite no. Of the 3 remaining homes, one is a short sale so we don't necessarily expect to hear something for months, but we thought we'd throw our hat in. Another was listed for far more than anything comparable around it so we offered what the houses comparable to it are selling for. (Not really sure if that will go anywhere.) Last of all, there is a bank-owned property that we are hoping will work out. Of the ones we've looked at, I think we like this one the most. Right now we are just hoping for "the planets to align" and see if it will work out. We've had some great things come about that may help us get it, but the bank has to accept our offer. We have just under 3 weeks until we move out of our place so we're keeping our fingers crossed.

waaaa! i'm going to miss you!
Sounds stressful. Looking for houses is at the top of my "least favorite things to do" list! Good luck!
Sounds familiar, except we don't have a hard deadline; just the sooner the better. We don't have Saturdays for fun any more... we have them for kissing frogs.
Good luck.
Good luck with the house hunting! I always think it's fun when to look at "new" houses when you start out but by the end I know we are always just wanting SOMETHING to work out. :) I hope things work out for you. :)
wow. that is awesome you sold yours. It will all work out the way it is supposed to. :)
Good luck.
